The marking of INLET and the arrow are located on the offset end of the muffler, but the ARROW Points Toward the Center Pipe End, which means the Center Pipe End is the INLET, just like the old one.

If you look into the muffler you will see the perforations on the inside of the muffler. You want the opening of the perforations to be toward the back of the truck. This way the exhast flows over them smoothly.

The thing is, reversing a muffler delete can be easily done. Your exhaust pipe must slide right into the muffler inlet & outlet. After that you can either weld them into place or use a clamp to make sure they are locked in and not make any rattling sound when you drive.
