Do all lenders require a 4506-T?
Even when the 4506 is ordered early in the transaction, before loan approval, the IRS can delay things. Any mortgage lender that works through FNMA, FHLMC, FHA or VA, and even the portfolio lenders who follow their own rules, all have to have a 4506 processed; it’s mandatory.
Is the IRS processing 4506-T requests?

In general, if you filed your taxes online, your Form 4506-T will be available between two and four weeks. If you mailed in your tax returns, it can take up to 6 weeks. Once your transcripts are available, it takes between 5 and 10 calendar days for your transcripts to arrive.
