Can tribute summoned monsters attack the same turn?
A Tribute Summon is treated exactly as Normal Summon, except a few cards refer specifically to whether or not the card was Tribute Summoned (such as Monarchs). Normally only one Tribute Summon can be conducted in the same turn (exceptions: see “Ultimate Offering” and “Double Summon”).
Can you attack the same turn you summon a monster?
There is no game rule that prevents you from attacking with a monster that is Summoned to your field during that same turn, unless it is currently the opponent’s turn.
Can you normal summon and special summon in the same turn?
Yes. Once you Normal Summon, that’s all the NORMAL summoning you can do per turn. However, you can special summon as many times as you want every turn.
Can you tribute summon a monster face down?
In order to Set Monsters that are Level 5 or higher, you still need to Tribute. It’s important to remember that a monster Set on the field in face-down Defense Position IS NOT considered Summoned. It has been Set and can be Summoned with a Flip Summon or flipped face-up by an attack or card effect.

When you’re ready to Xyz Summon, just take the Xyz Material monsters and pile them up on the field. Then take the matching Xyz Monster you’re Summoning out of your Extra Deck, and Summon it. Then place the pile of Xyz Materials underneath it. That’s right: The Xyz Materials go UNDERNEATH the Xyz Monster.
Can You Tribute Summon more than one monster at once?
Normally only one Tribute Summon can be conducted in the same turn (exceptions: see “Ultimate Offering” and “Double Summon”). This means you cannot Normal Summon or Set a low Level monster and then Tribute it immediately to Tribute Summon a high Level monster.
What happens when A Tribute Summon is negated?
Therefore, if the Tribute Summon is negated, the Tributed monster (s) will not return to the field. If no cards are Tributed to perform the Normal Summon of a Level 5 or higher monster (as in the case of ” Mausoleum of the Emperor “), the Summon is not a Tribute Summon, unless a card specifies otherwise (such as ” Tribute Burial “).

How many monsters can you normal summon in one turn?
“Double Summon” allows you to Normal Summon twice in one turn. Only monsters that are Level 4 or lower can be Normal Summoned without Tribute (Tribute Summoning is still considered Normal Summoning, however) unless specifically designated on the card text (Example: “Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight”).
