In order to train a creature to be your pet, it must meet two criteria.
- 1) It must have an intelligence of 5 or lower. If it has 6 or higher, you would be “befriending” it, which would require persuasion checks.
- 2) Its challenge rating must be less than your level. No level 1 characters riding on hydras.
