Who owns WeeMee?
The avatars were created in 1999 by the then CEO and Founder of Saw-You.com, Mike Kinsella, in Glasgow, Scotland, Saw-You.com was founded in 1999. In 2003 Microsoft began offering the avatars for use to Hotmail customers.
How do you make a Weemee?
1. In order to create a weemee, you need to first tap the gallery button, then then go back to the home page and tap on create. This isn’t a huge problem, but if you forget it crashes and you have to go back and start over, which can be annoying.
Why did they take down Meez?
90% of Meez users are from the USA. It had sponsors including Candie’s, Nike, Domo and more. As of December 2017, the official Meez is down for all users, so the status of the virtual world is currently unknown. On March 2018, the site’s domain was not renewed, so the Meez brand was vanished.
